ZaanBus was born out of Zaan Tours, a family business that has been organizing daily excursions and private tours for many years, including trips to the Zaanse Schans. What started as a one-man operation with small sightseeing tours has grown into a reliable transport company with a modern and versatile fleet.
Our very first journeys were made with a simple Ford Transit for 8 passengers, followed by our own comfortable private car for up to 3 guests. Not long after, we were able to add our first Mercedes Vito – an important step in the professionalization of our services. Shortly before the COVID pandemic, we expanded with our first midi-coach, a 30-seater Temsa. Unfortunately, this coach had to be parked up during the pandemic, but once that period passed, we continued to grow with confidence.
Today, our fleet consists of multiple vehicles, including three Mercedes Sprinters (19 to 22 seats), and we continue to invest in further expansion for the future.
As a true family-run company, we work with four regular drivers and a flexible team of on-call staff. This allows us to respond quickly and always deploy the right vehicle – both for our own Zaan Tours excursions and for charter services for external clients. Our drivers speak Dutch and English, and a Chinese-speaking driver can be arranged on request.
